What is an Audience?
The spectators or listeners at a public event such as a play, film, concert, or meeting.
We define target audiences by first questioning where the target audience is located, whether they are male female or both.
What is their average age? what are their common interests? What is their income range? What common values do they share?
It is useful for a film to have a target audience because it allows the correct audience to watch the film suitable for them. For example if a films target audience was teenagers they would put more things in the film that would interest the teens. (violence, drugs, slang)
A teen drama is a type of drama series with a big focus on teenage characters.The audience that teen dramas are aimed at are mainly teenagers. The target audience most of the time is secondary, parents may watch it due to the fact that their children watch it.
