Evaluation of the Remake of The Breakfast Club

Evaluation
Overall, I think that our remake of the breakfast club was a definite success. By doing this practical work it allowed my group to develop our filming skills, acting skills and also editing skills. We filmed in a variety of places, such as the corridors, the canteen, outside the college and in various classrooms.
However we did come across some problems whilst filming the breakfast club as one of the first scenes was of a BMW car which we could for obvious reasons not get a hold of so we had to improvise with what resources were available to us.

We also had a few problems with editing as we found that many of the scenes didn't fit together meaning we would have to re record a lot of the filming that we originally done, also when we attempted to embed the breakfast clubs sounds track it would work as the software did not allow us to do this so on this occasion we had to improvise as well.
We Also had a few minor problems with actually adding the title sequences, as we tried to find the exact font and color of the titles seen in the film, we had to choose fonts that were similar to the ones seen in the film.
Overall I think that filming the breakfast club was a great experience and increased my skills when it comes to media studies. It was good practice for our real coursework where we will have to film our own scenes.
If I was to redo this whole experience I would make sure that I have many more camera angles and divide my time equally when filming and editing. I would also make sure that we had props thoughout the scenes to make it more similar to the original, as well as spending extra time on editing as its one of the most important sections in the production process.
