The sub-genres for teen dramas are musical dramas, love dramas, adult dramas, romantic dramas and supernatural dramas. An example for a musical teen drama would be Grease as it is based around the lifestyle of youths and the characters throughout the film are singing. Another musical teen drama example would be High School Musical which is distributed by disney who usually aims their films to a younger audience. HSM is based around teens who are a group of friends who eventually form a group to start singing but along the way go through a lot of drama. An example of an adult teen drama would be films such as Kidulthood & Adulthood as they have some scenes in the film which are too strong for younger viewers so this would be classified as an adult teen drama.
