The first text that inspired me was the documentary based on
a true story called "murdered by my boyfriend", this inspired me to
do a title sequence based around the storyline about domestic violence. this is
the main film that influenced me as it had a popular reaction to it and was
viewed by many people meaning some may be able to empathise with this type of
story line as it is common throughout the whole world. The film is about a
young lady who meets a man and almost immediately falls head over heels for
him. They end up having a daughter together until things change for the worst.
He ends up showing signs of abuse towards her which quickly escalates into him
physically hitting her on one occasion, going to her workplace and head-butting
her in front of all her colleagues, she files for a restraining order against
him, but easily falls back in love with him, as he is known to be a
manipulator, the police fail to help her on numerous occasions, and the abuse
only gets worse resulting in her unfortunate death.
