We had planned to do a youth drama as we felt we could relate to the theme and so will have many ideas. Though our thoughts were very limited and superficial.
We felt as if kidulthood may have been our 'fairy god mother of media'. This film had a major impact on the work that we are producing, this is because youth drama is the genre that we focus on, in this film they are a bunch of teenagers facing real life, serious situations which is very similar to what we are doing. The realistic aspects of life that happen in this film reminded us that young people go through some of the things that older people may go through as well such as domestic violence and death.
